LIGHT AND COLOUR ILLUSIONS
CRITICAL LINK:
When you were a child and looked at a lighted lantern for a long time, after a while it seemed to you that light lines were coming out of the lantern. After walking around and taking photos at night, I noticed that the places where there was a lot of light looked very much like lines where coming out of them and I wanted to try experimenting and focus on the light that comes out at night which creates different illusions.

This time I wanted to experiment with using a scanner. For this stage I wanted to delve more into how light and colour can change the atmosphere, perspective or the very meaning of a photograph. With the help of light you can create a photograph but you can also stretch it. I wanted to create or change the very realism of the photograph and its dimension in a kind of glitch. To do this I printed my photographs on paper and then scanned them in this way: when the scanner started scanning I waited a couple of seconds and then when it reached a certain place I started moving the photographs behind the scanner until it reached the end and did not detach another part of the photograph. This stretched the picture horizontally, and added a cyclical unpredictability which created an interesting illusion.
