CONTINUOUS LINES
OF LIGHT
CRITICAL LINK:
Night photography is known for its mystery and atmosphere between man and darkness, and this is exactly what I want to explore, using both film and digital cameras to compare and observe techniques of famous night and street photographers.
Artists: Niall Staines
Software: Adobe Photoshop
For begging, I started experimenting with photos (from 3 stage ) using photoshop and its "single row marquee tool" to select a thin section of the photo and then stretch it to get long lines of light.
FADED AWAY
FIRST SAMPLES:
SINGLE LINES
MULTPLE LINES
The first sample was focused on emphasizing the light that came from either the headlights of cars or from a spotlight or other objects that had the most light in them. Since I was looking more at the aesthetic side, I didn't see that the colour side of the photograph also plays an interesting role here and that it's not just one thing that is important, but also the whole composition that the lines should emphasize.
HALF IMAGE AND HALF LINES
SECOND SAMPLES:
JUST LINES
